Submissions
Afterview is dedicated to bringing awareness to the most current artistic and cultural events in the UK. We are eager to publish works that are well written, thoughtful and demonstrate good critical and contextual understanding.
We stipulate a number of writing guidelines (below) but encourage an individualistic approach to your work. We would like to hear from passionate writers that want to express their personal voice.
Submission guidelines:
REVIEWS
This can include reviews of exhibitions, music performances/albums, films and events that are current and unbiased. All reviews must have a focus on the artistic/cultural content of the subject matter. We will not publish anything that is overtly negative. Preference is given to independent and artist run projects but reviews relating to commercial galleries will be considered.
Please include:
Title, location, Venue information and date
Authors full name and short bio, picture of author (optional)
Text equalling 500 words max attached as word doc
Attach digital .jpg images (1-5)
Include list of image details in word doc – Tile of work, artist, photo credit
Relevant website links
INTERVIEWS
This should be a Q&A format beginning with contextual information of both author and interviewee (artist, director, musician, organizer)
Please include:
Text equalling 1000-2500 words attached as word doc
Attach digital .jpg images (1-5)
Include list of image details in word doc
